The last time I checked, Sahagun was still surprisingly secret in a town full of hardcore foodies. Few people know about this place (serving my number 2 chocolates in the US!) and it makes me a little bit sad. With a miniscule, hidden location just off W. Burnside, many Portlanders unknowingly drive by every day. Whether you call Portland home or only visit for a day, these incredible all-dark chocolates and truffles should not be missed.
RECS: The assortment is small, but every item is unique and worth a try. The biggest secret of all: they also make quite possibly the best sorbets in the city…
UPDATE: Devastation! Sahagun is only open 10am-6pm on Saturdays now. What happened??? You MUST visit the shop if you’re in town on a Saturday, otherwise you can find their chocolates at Extracto, Ristretto Roasters, Water Avenue Coffee, and other locations around town.
