Yet another Lombard St. sleeper that most people don’t know about. It amazes me that Yukol Place never appears on any “Best Of” lists for Thai restaurants in SF, as it more than deserves a top ranking. It was nearly deserted when I went for an early dinner, all the better to enjoy their spectacular food in tranquility. For a low-key authentic Thai meal in the Marina, you won’t find anything better.
RECS: Anything and everything. I’ve tried the papaya salad, gai yang chicken, pad thai and a spicy red curry, and I would recommend all of them, though it’s my feeling that you can’t go wrong here.
